Roman Buildings

This post is just to help me get a visual idea of how Roman buildings and in particular their architecture was designed.

The ancient Romans were said to have adopted certain aspects of Greek architecture but developing it and creating their own style, mainly using domes and archways. Here are some examples of famous Roman buildings demonstrating this style.

One of the most impressive architectural monuments which the Romans built would have to be the Colosseum.

The Colosseum is a perfect example of how the Romans used Archways and domes throughout its structure.
